Most fresher resumes fail before a human reads them — killed by two-column layouts, photos and tables that ATS parsers can't read. This template is deliberately boring in format so your content is what gets judged.

What's inside (and why each part exists)

SectionWhat to putThe mistake it prevents
HeaderName, city, phone, professional email, LinkedIn, GitHubPhotos, DOB, full address — bias risk and parser poison
EducationDegree, college, CGPA, 12th/10th percentages with yearsBurying the numbers eligibility screens need
Technical skillsLanguages, tools, core CS concepts — only what you can defend in an interviewKeyword-stuffing 20 technologies you can't discuss
ProjectsTwo projects, two bullets each: verb + build + tech + number"Worked on a college project" bullets that say nothing
InternshipRole, company, dates, what YOU owned (delete section if none)Padding with vague team credit
AchievementsCertifications, contest results, coding-profile milestonesHobbies and "personal details" filler

Frequently asked questions

Why is this template "ATS-safe"?

It uses a single column, a standard font, no tables, no text boxes, no photos and no headers/footers — the exact things that break resume parsers. Every section uses conventional headings (Education, Technical Skills, Projects) that ATS systems recognize and map correctly.

Should a fresher resume really have no photo?

Yes — no photo, no date of birth, no father's name, no full postal address. Indian freshers inherit these from older formats; modern recruiters don't want them, ATS parsers choke on them, and they waste the one page you have.

What if I have no internship experience?

Delete that section and let Projects carry the resume — two well-described projects with numbers ("serving 200 users", "reduced load time 40%") beat a filler internship. Academic projects, hackathon builds and self-initiated apps all count.

How do I fill the bullets well?

Formula: action verb + what you built + tech used + a number. "Built a Flask API serving 200+ students, reducing manual attendance work by 60%." Never start a bullet with "Worked on" or "Was responsible for". Run the finished text through our free ATS checker to verify.

One page or two?

One. Always, for freshers. If it overflows, cut the oldest/weakest content — recruiters spend under 30 seconds on the first pass and the second page is almost never read.
