Resume ATS checker
Runs entirely in your browser — your resume is never uploaded or stored
Paste your resume text below. You'll get an instant score against the checks ATS filters and recruiters actually apply to fresher resumes — and exactly what to fix.
A good score gets you read. A great resume gets you called.
Phiny's Resume AI goes beyond checks — role-specific keywords, rewritten bullets and ATS-safe formatting, matched to the exact job you're applying for.
Improve my resume freeFrequently asked questions
What is an ATS and do companies really use one for freshers?
An Applicant Tracking System stores and filters applications before a human reads them. Mass recruiters processing lakhs of fresher applications rely on them heavily — resumes missing key sections, contact details or role keywords can be filtered before any recruiter looks. Formatting that parses cleanly matters as much as content.
How long should a fresher resume be?
One page. Recruiters spend under 30 seconds on a first pass; a second page of a fresher resume is almost always filler. 350–600 words of dense, specific content beats two pages of padding.
Should I put a photo, date of birth or full address?
No — none of them. They add bias risk and parse badly in ATS systems. City + phone + professional email + LinkedIn/GitHub is the complete contact block.
What are action verbs and why do they matter?
Verbs like built, designed, implemented, automated, optimized — they force you to describe what YOU did. "Built a Flask API serving 200 users" reads stronger than "was part of a team project" to both the ATS keyword match and the human skimmer.
Is this checker the same as Phiny's Resume AI?
No — this is a quick text-level check that runs entirely in your browser (your resume is not uploaded anywhere). The full Resume AI in the Phiny app does deeper analysis: role-specific keyword matching, bullet rewriting and ATS-safe formatting.
